That was the advice I was given one day whilst riding through North Melbourne on my way into town. I fella started chatting while I was stopped at the lights and he was asking for 'a dink' down the road. I refused as he was a bit pissed and going in the opposite direction. I had my lock round my neck, as that was the easiest place to hang onto it whilst riding and he seemed to mis-judge why it was there. Anyway, with the prospect of moving to the big smoke soon it's likely I may have to be a little less complacent about bike security, so just bookmarking a forum post detailing the best locks so i can look into it in more detail later: http://www.lfgss.com/thread17938.html
